This magazine project explores face synthesis to craft an “average” face—a commentary on our image-obsessed society. Digital selfies are transformed into tangible silver prints, merging the immediacy of digital portraits with the timeless feel of analogue photography. By first collecting a database of selfie portraits and then showcasing the unique approaches of analogue photographers, the project asks: is there such a thing as a typical analogue photographer?
