In out Up down

"You don't have to make the most of a global pandemic."

During those days, when you can't go out anymore and have to forget all your outside habbits, you finally realise how it feels to be stuck at home.

As an analogue photography enthousiast, I enjoy going out and usually mostly shoot outside pictures. As an exchange student, I was hoping to discover a new country, new cities, and wanted to travel as much as possible. I then took 4 different analogue cameras and a lot of film rolls. The quarantine disabled me to use them all and I felt less creative. Creative people need to do things. How to keep doing things when your playground is taken away from you?

The camera obscurae is a technique used for ever. Used by painters to help being more realistic, it creates a projection of a landscape into a black box. I first tried to create new cameras, new tools to play with my everyday view, a whole new imagery. As a final try, my own room became the camera obscurae. In that way, I was able to bring outside inside. Graphic designers are able to build a whole new world, with this project, I was able to create a whole new imagery mixing my own environment and my outside view.
